May 2015. | We are excited to announce that NewWave in a joint venture formed with General Dynamics has been awarded the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services contract for the Chronic Condition Warehouse (CCW) and Virtual Research Data Center (VRDC). This contract has an award value of $175M and will run for 10 years, if all option years are exercised. With an effective start date of 4/30/15, the contract will largely be supported by teams located at NewWave’s headquarters in Elkridge, MD, Iowa, as well as having staff in Warrenton, VA, and Towson, MD.

The Chronic Condition Warehouse (CCW) is a large complex data warehouse that has been storing Medicare and Medicaid chronic condition data files since 1991. The CCW is used predominantly by researchers to study and evaluate chronic conditions with the aim to significantly improve the quality of care provided to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.
