NewWave CEO Patrick Munis Selected as 2016 Maryland Small Business Person of the Year

Mar 17, 2016

Elkridge, Maryland – NewWave Telecom and Technologies, Inc. (NewWave) is proud to announce that our founder and CEO, Patrick Munis, was selected as the 2016 Maryland Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA celebrated Patrick for his “contributions to our nation,” while noting that it is “entrepreneurs and small business owners who help drive America’s economy.” Patrick and his fellow selectees from the other 49 states will be honored for their small business achievements at a special ceremony in Washington D.C. in May.

Patrick founded NewWave in 2004 with just over a half dozen employees providing Healthcare IT and data solutions to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Since then, NewWave has grown to about 200 full-time employees working in four separate locations on more than a dozen, large-scale CMS contracts worth approximately $30 million in revenue in 2015.

While Patrick would be the first to credit our company’s success to our employees and their determination, we are thrilled that he was recognized for the entrepreneurial spirit we see in him every day.
