NewWave wins CMS Systems Integrator MACBIS project

NewWave Telecom and Technologies was awarded a 4.5 year, $23.5 million contract to serve as the System Integrator (SI) for the Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program Business Information Solutions (MACBIS) program at the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).  Following in the footsteps of NewWave’s mission of advancing Health Care initiatives, as the MACBIS SI Contractor, we will oversee the entire scope of improving healthcare services for over 70 million beneficiaries by partnering with CMS' Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) to ensure the successful development of the data and systems infrastructure, that will enable CMS and its State partners to more effectively operate and monitor Medicaid programs.  NewWave will team with CMS and other MACBIS partners to transform the MACBIS program into a state-of-the-art data-driven, analytic platform that can adapt to continued expansion of Medicaid programs.

In working closely with all 50 states to improve MACBIS, NewWave CEO Patrick Munis says that overseeing the modernization effort to ensure that the millions of beneficiaries impacted by the project experience the highest level of benefits possible is critically important.

"I am extremely passionate in my belief that improving healthcare services for others is the greatest good we can provide as a company and it has my highest level of commitment,” said Munis.

NewWave looks forward to initiating this project so that we can continue to play a significant role in improving the quality of healthcare to the citizens in need within our country.
